Wakiliya is a Hausa word that loosely translates to female agent or representative. As a not-for-profit and non-political organization, we are committed to acting as an agent for promoting social welfare, empowering communities, and ensuring the wellbeing of the vulnerable, particularly women and children across Northern Nigeria.
Our key initiative, the Wakiliya Project, serves as the public-facing arm of our association. It focuses on direct intervention programmes that drive our mission forward.

The Wakiliya Project
As an integral initiative under the Association, the Wakiliya Project serves as the public outreach and action platform, focusing on these key areas:

About Us
The Association of Northern House of Representatives Members Wives for Empowerment & Welfare of the Indigents is dedicated to:
- Ensuring the protection of all children from abuse, violence, exploitation, and neglect;
- Establishing and promoting programmes that provide vulnerable children with health, nutrition, and social protection services;
- Facilitating access to quality basic education, including Early Childhood Development (ECD), primary, and junior secondary education.
- Enhancing the standard of living for indigent children and marginalized groups.
- Driving philanthropic activities aimed at empowering the people of Northern Nigeria.
- Bridging the gap for vulnerable children to access and benefit from comprehensive social protection services.
